But in all seriousness - are you ready to save some lives? If so, join The Broad in donating blood this April!

This blood drive is in honor of Amina of Call Your Girlfriend who was diagnosed with endometrial cancer. Thankfully, her doctors caught it early and she is getting top-notch medical care. Throughout her diagnosis and treatment, she has received countless blood transfusions. 

This blood drive is a way for us to show our support for Amina and patients like her. These donations will help many other people in need so let's give them lots of love!

We're chatting conscious consumption with the Ethical Style Collective - a local group committed to encouraging intentional shopping and conscious conversations around the fashion industry.

Join the ESC for a new kind of Style 101 to kick off Fashion Revolution Week. You'll learn key facts about our the perils of fast fashion, find out what really goes into that new dress, and how you can be a more conscious consumer every day!

Tickets are free for members with a $5 suggested donation at the door (cash or Venmo) for non-members. All donations will benefit Fashion Revolution, an organization dedicated to calling for greater transparency in the fashion industry.

  • Kelly of the @thegoodwearblog is an ethical fashion blogger exploring ways to be a responsible and sustainable fashion consumer through transparency, creativity and style.
  • Lisa of @topstitchrva is a seamstress with a major mission to live a low impact life on the environment and repairing clothes is one of many ways to increase sustainability. Encouraging people to love the clothes they have and reduce mass consumerism.

Our 3rd floor loft is filled with natural light and is perfect for headshots, styled shoots, and more!

One Sunday a month we offer an open shooting day from 11-4 for $50 a photographer. No elevator access is provided for these sessions.

Our regular shoot details:
+ We offer rentals for 1 hour headshot sessions at a set rate of $50. No elevator access is provided for these sessions.
+ For styled shoots and extended rental sessions we offer mornings (10-1) and afternoons (2-5) on Sundays at a set rate of $125. Elevator access can be arranged for these sessions though additional light equipment is not needed in our space.

Back by popular demand following our sold out March event - we're hosting a beginners weaving workshop with Kate Koconis of Little Black Sheep Studio!

In this workshop you will learn how to weave a tapestry on a frame loom, along with some general weaving basics - all materials will be provided!

We will focus on texture and color to generate depth and interest, using easy beginner techniques. Kate will go over each step from start to finish and you'll go home with a weaving of your own creation.

Come on over and get an Introduction to Modern Calligraphy.  In this workshop, Natalie Kay will go over what calligraphy is and the tools you'll need to get started. Then, we will use brush pens to learn about basic stroke and the lower case alphabet. We will finish off the class by talking about finding your own style and creating a piece to take home. This class includes all the supplies you'll need to go home and practice on your own!
